What is the future of mortgages? Watch the twelfth Broker Congress online

What will be different because of the Consumer Credit Act? How to prepare yourself and your clients for the news? The answers to these and other burning questions will be heard at the twelfth Broker Congress, which takes place on Thursday, 3. November in Prague’s U Hájků Congress Centre. Representatives of leading mortgage providers will give 25 lectures at the largest Czech educational event for financial advisors and intermediaries, but news in insurance will not be left out either. The event is organized by the largest Czech broker pool Broker Trust, the main partner is Hypoteční banka. The online broadcast from the lecture halls will also be available on the FinTV internet television, the broadcast starts at 11:00 a.m. The complete program of the Broker Congress can be found here.

One of the main guests of the Broker Congress is coach Jan Laibl, who helps his clients improve their sales skills and maximize their sales potential. “Being a salesman is one of the hardest professions, but it’s also one of the best you can choose,” he says. Ivo Toman, the author of several bestsellers and a renowned personal development trainer, will also have useful tips for the congress participants, helping clients find and develop talent. Both performances will also be available to watch exclusively on FinTV.

The new law shuffles the cards

The new Consumer Credit Act comes into force on the first of December this year. The current situation on the consulting market and the impact that regulation will have on it will be among the first to be assessed by Jiří Šindelář from USF ČR.

“The new Consumer Credit Act changes the rules of the game (not only) of mortgage lending,” says Vladimír Vojtíšek from Hypoteční banka. In his speech, he will talk about which topics are newly appearing in mortgage regulation and where the provision of housing loans will move under the influence of the law. Similarly, representatives of other leading financial institutions, such as Raiffeisenbank, Moneta Money Bank and EQUA BANK, will present at the congress the innovations that their companies are starting to introduce into their product portfolios due to the new law.

A business opportunity?

Jiří Novák from ČSOB Pojišťovna predicts that luck will favor the prepared. “The legislation has changed and opened up one of the biggest business opportunities in recent years, and it will be even better from next year,” he says. The title of the lecture by Naděžda Richterová from Komerční banka is also optimistic: Commerce is not afraid of regulation.

An interesting link between mortgages and the unstoppable aging of the population is offered by a lecture by Tomáš Mohork from Aegon Insurance Company. “One in four adults will become dependent on the care of others by the age of 80. However, the cost of caring for a relative can also put a strain on your budget, with an impact on the mortgage. Aegon is the first in the Czech Republic to offer a solution,” he says.

Stanislav Gálik from Česká spořitelna promises to “declassify” what the largest Czech bank is currently working on in his lecture Hyper-Innovation in Banking .

The twelfth Broker Congress is therefore worth watching for financial advisors, either on site or via live broadcast on www.fintv.cz.

Paid workshops will also take place as part of the congress. The money collected from the entrance fee will traditionally go to a good cause – this time it will contribute to the purchase of an electric wheelchair for sixteen-year-old Filip.
